when you burn a cd from an image you need to choose "create cd from image"
in the file menu. Then it opens a dialog to search for your image. (use the
filter box to locate files of type .iso). This will extract the contents of
the iso image to the cd as it burns - not just the image.

Subject: [MLUG] CD creation from ISO
OK ... question about creating a CD from an iso image.
I have a Win2K machine at work, with a high-speed Internet connection. It
has the Adaptec Easy-CD software on it.
I downloaded a Linux iso image from freesoftware.com to my hdd. What I need
to do is transfer the iso image to the cd-rom in a manner that I can use it
in the future on my Linux machines at home ... connected to the Internet by
a slow dial-up modem ... don't think about it for 400MB files ... or for
15MB files for that matter.
When I burned a copy just now, I got the iso file transferred, but that
won't really help. Thanks in advance for your solutions.
