>From linux, I created the mountpoint /mnt/bengal, then typed
mount -t smbfs -o username=smemoer //BENGAL/homes /mnt/bengal
and it worked so apparently just //BENGAL ought to work.

Subject: [MLUG] Bengal Question - remote mounting the drives
Is there a specific server you have setup for remote mounting our home
partitions via samba/NFS/NCP/etc.?
I've tried browsing around, and I looked on one of the servers I connected
to - but it's still listed as BENGAL-DEVELOP for the workgroup, and samba
isn't running.
Just curious :)
Thanks!
