Inherited problems due to the ancient and limited workings of
email. Services such as Jabber are nice enough to offer presence
information and flexible enough to extend to have notes about why your
gone and when you'll be back. I keep wondering how long after IM's
solidify into one universal protocol it'll be until email as we know it
just gets merged into the IM. I for one will be glad to never have to
convert another sendmail server! :)
