Absolutely, but I launch pico with these options:

pico -bdegjmwz -r74

That way I turn off line wrapping (-w) and get a few other nice features
turned on.  I don't understand their defaults!

It's great that you know vi -- it's on every unix system, so it comes in
*really* handy sometimes when you know it.
