The only 802.11b card I've been able to get to work under Linux is the Cisco
Aironet 340 NIC (specifically). The 350 NIC comes with Linux drivers, but I
wasn't able to make them work.

The PCMCIA driver package (and the kernel, for that matter) has come a long
way since then, though, and there are a lot of various WLAN drivers in both
packages. Worth a shot.

tml might be a
good place to start...

Dimensions will always be expressed in the least usable term. Velocity, for
example, will be expressed in furlongs per fortnight.

I've got a co-worker that's trying to get a SMC wireless card to work
with RedHat 6.2. It was part of a package (SMC 2620W) that includes
both the NAP and the card. Has anyone gotten an SMC card to work under
Linux? I figured with MU's 802.11 access points and the number of
uber geeks on the list, somone must have tried this.

PS First person to answer the question right gets a random on-sale item
from the SGI store when I go out there in two weeks.
