Have you tried Blender? Interface is kind of hard to get used to. I think I
need to take a class so I can get into the mindset for using these kinds of
tools. Blender seams fairly solid though, even though I haven't been able to
do much with it because it's so complex. :-)
There's another modeler though... Can't think of the name. Good resource?
Try http://www.linuxartist.org/ or http://www.graphics-muse.com/gmd.html .
The graphics muse used to have an excellent column in the Linux Gazette.
IMHO it appears that the Linux Gazette has gone down hill recently. How many
times can they answer " How do I get a file listing with the time and date
stamp?" (Duh! RTFMP) :-)

Subject: [MLUG] Re: [MLUG - ANNOUNCEMENT] Last Night's Meeting
Greetings scott,,
sorry i missed the elections, quite busy doing 3d animation.
I had a question, one of the things stopping me from fully converting is
that i cannot find decent 3d programs either for modeling or animation,,
anyways, Slackware good,
