So does this mean the original descrambler is legal if they remove the
keys and force you to download them from some offshore server or such
nonsense something like you have to do w/ ROM images sometimes for
emulators?

So the five bytes is the only thing keeping this from being legal? How
long can it possibly take to search every possible 5-byte string for one
that works? Why bother even including them?
