Is source available, or is this a Mandrake only program? How difficult would
you estimate it to be to port this over to Redhat?

No worse than any other 10base solution I've seen. I've been transfering
gigs upon gigs of files and it is going at the expected speed and without
any faults. At times like this when I'm moving huge amounts of data
100base would be nice but honestly 10base should be fine for pulling data
from the cable modem and most LAN uses. I mounted up a bunch of NFS shares
from the machine I added the 60GB hdd too and was able to move a couple
gigs of files at a time at speeds pretty close to maximum drive speed
(these are old computers mostly so they are a little slow) and still
browse the images and play MP3's from the shares at the same time.
As a side note I happened to try DrakConf's 'Share DSL/Cable Modem'
program in Mandrake 7.2 to configure my machine plugged into the cable
modem so any other machines on the LAN could access the Internet. With
literally three clicks everything works great. I've never even seen a
Windows program make it this easy. :)
