Well I've actually tried two different sets of paramas (both which came
with the drive funny enough.. is a western digital so you'd think it would
be decent) and both 'almost worked' which isn't good enough. I was
thinking maybe it's because I'm using such an outdated version of
RedHat. Recently when I added another large drive to an old SuSE box I had
to upgrade to the newest version before anything over the first 20Gb or so
would show up and on one of the two above mentioned params i've tried i'm
getting this behavior so that might be it. Lucky for me my dog found my
collection of linux cd's and chewed a lot of my newer versions up so i'll
probably hafta download the new ver. Am working on networking the other
computer so it can directly access my cable modem connection so I can do
the update and hope that works.

The 60Gb drive only cost $180 from Sams which made me happy. I've seen
better prices online but this way I have a nice big local store to hold
accountable if something goes wrong with the drive and there was no wait
time. mmm this gives me 90+ Gb of storage at home. If I get this one
working I may add another one just like it just for good measures. :)
