OK, here's the situation. I have two PC's - both running nearly identical
RedHat installs. Both have 3COM 905B NIC's. Both are on the same 100MBit
hub. Neither has any problem moving data to/from anyone internal or
external. Neither one racks up any errors at all. When one of them used to
be NT data flew (couple o megs/second) between them. Now data crawls. It
starts out at 16K/sec and then drops to under a K/sec and just keeps on
going down. A sniffer got nothing strange. Any ideas - I really want to fix
this, as I had intended to cross-mount them and need the speed. Besides, my
buddy has a few gigs of useful stuff on my computer that he can't get to
effectively. thanks . . .
