I seem to remember a security update at some point, but don't think I've
seen any advisories lately, if that's any comfort.
You can use it in conjunction with SSH -- did you look at that stuff on
their web page? I think using it with SSH with compression speeds it up
noticeably over dial up connections, not to mention the security benefit.
