[MLUG] Linux and Windows

I was reading the latest issue of Linux Magazine and there's an article on
Linux and Windows. I know about Samba and Wine, but was shocked to learn
about VMware's ability to run Windows within Linux inside X in a window. Has
anybody attempted to do this? If I could do this and just load the programs
I need using VMware, I'll go totally Linux.

Also, has anybody attempted to use Half-Life in WINE? I've never really
messed with WINE a whole lot, but have heard good things about it. Half-Life
is the only real reason I bother with Windows anymore. I'm addicted to that
damn game.

BTW, anyone checked out Maximum Linux? It's the new magazine out from the
folks at Maximum PC. I went ahead and put in for a subscription b/c Maximum
PC is one of my favorite magazines.
