The really good "feature" of netscape is trying to go to us the
loopback device and go to localhost, i.e http://localhost/
When you put in http://localhost/ in the URL box it immediately
prepends 'www' and appends 'com' so you end up going to
http://www.localhost.com/. Which is some guy at University of Colorado.
I'd like to know how to turn off that feature. I have localhost in
my /etc/hosts as 127.0.0.1 (as is should be) but to use localhost
I have to specifically use 127.0.0.1 in the URL.
Is there some "auto name mangler" turnoff switch?
