I used netcfg to setup my ppp connections under RH 6.1.  When I activate the
interface, I get an error something like "unable to access
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0".  I am root when I try this, and
the permissions for ifcfg-ppp0 are set 644.  My modem does respond okay to
minicom.  Any ideas?
