NcFTP will not remain free if it does not see you as being in one of the
"free" domains however. The first time I installed it, it worked fine for
about 4 months. This time, however, I got all my penguinpowered.com and smtp
stuff setup first, and it decided I was unregistered after the
"trial-period". At this point, I'm using ProFTP and it seems to work just
fine.

personally use ncftpd (free, as in beer, for personal use).
