I've had problems using DHCP under RedHat before, and it turned out to be
the version of pump.
If you are using pump as your DHCP client, see if it's version 0.7. It
doesn't work. Install version 0.64 (I think). Believe it or not, the 0.6x
version works better (on campus) than the 0.7 version.
