Thanks Ryan! I have tin up and running.
Unlike the other news readers this one has a prompt for loging in so it was a breeze.
Btw, contrary to what may seem, Knews has nothing to do with KDE ;-)

PS: What's the username/password structure for news.missouri.edu?
Showme accounts don't seem to work.
