I was reading the Slashdot posting on the University of Michigan's
student protest against Microsoft and had an idea.

What if we set up a booth outside of Computer Spectrum to promote Open
Source Operating Systems (less we forget FreeBSD)? Since that's a spot
at which we could catch a lot of computer users, and both the bookstore
and the computer store sell open source-related items (including quite a
few O'Reilly books and two Linux distributions), it would be good for
business on their behalf and a quick way to reach those who might
otherwise have no clue about alternative operating systems and software.
We could have information about MLUG and offer to help get Linux on
people's computers.

This is just an idea, not a manifesto. Is my mind just going nuts at
4:40 a.m. or am I onto something? Any thoughts?

I blame any grammar and spelling mistakes on my keyboard. They're not my
fault tonight.
