Debian has a really good ftp/http install.  When you use 
dselect to select the packages you want, the first
thing to choose is access method, you can select 
cdrom/nfs/harddisk/mounted/mountable/floppy/ftp or apt.
Use apt and point it at the location you want to
install from.
