Aw, gee: where's the fun in that? :-) I mean, has anybody ever told
you an amusing story about how they correctly and safely deleted
something dorky without nuking important stuff? Didn't think so...
But on a related note, weird files in the root directory, unless you know
it was your screwup while root that caused them, can be red flags to
activities that are less than savory...in particular, somebody else
screwing up while doing things as root.
