under FreeBSD you can install Apache by:
cd /usr/ports/www/apache13
make install clean
that will not do all teh customizing and stuff and I personaly always
install apache by hand so I get it just like I want. when it finishes I
think it will tell you what else you need to do.
to create anon ftp just create the use account ftp (with adduser) and then
set up the directory structures as described in man ftpd
