I'm trying to set up a queue for a network printer I have (one of those hp
with a direct jet port thingy), and I can't seem to print to the port. It
should all be right (ip address and all that), but for some reason doesn't
seem to work. It's being shared via Samba, and I've set up the spool
directory, but nothing seems to happen:
it's an HP2000C printer, with the following printcap file

sys_devhp:\
        :lp=/dev/null:\
        :sh:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/sys_devhp:\
        :rm=192.168.201.225:\
        :rp=raw:\
        :mx#0:\
        :if=/var/spool/lpd/sys_devhp/filter:\
        :af=/var/spool/lpd/sys_devhp/acct:

Can anyone who understands how printers are set up in linux clue me in? It
seems Samba is sharing this printer fine, but my win machine won't print to
the printer....
Thanks,
Jason McIntosh
