My 1994 ATI Graphics Wonder card/install software allows
defining Monitor Types on current machine:
VGA 60Hz 640x480
NEC 2A 56Hz 800x600
ALR FlexVIEW2X 56Hz 800x600
IBM 8514 87Hz 1024x768
IBM 8507 87Hz 1024x768
NEC 3D 87Hz 1024x768
NEC 4D 60Hz 1024x768
NEC 4D/5D 70Hz 1024x768
NEC 5D 72Hz 1024x768
NEC 5FG 70Hz 1280x1024
VESA-standard 75Hz 1280x1024
Custom ...
Am currently using Monitor Type NEC 2A 56Hz 800x600 with my
used CTX 14" Color Monitor (Model No CVP-5439A; March 1992)... this
Monitor Type was selected because it was the first one I tried
which worked and was 800x600... wonder (pun here?) if there is a better
selection to be made... probably could check online specs at
CTX website if they have one... any way with the above choice
of Monitor Types plus Custom definition capability most if not
all the bases should be covered to be able to drive the 21" Monitor
that comes with the "multiheaded 386 Unix boxes"... am I missing
any thing?... Bill Bishop
