[UUG/MLUG] samba - smbmount

To access my roommates computer from windows I click on network
neighborhood then click on network then 425a.  

So then, I've been trying to do this with linux using smbmount.  I made
the directory /mnt/425 then I ran this command:

smbmount //128.206.176.25/425a /mnt/425 -d 5 -U Jay -W JayBird -n SPAR

I don't fully understand what say, the -W and -n commands do so I just
made some stuff up.  

The problem lies in that i don't have an lmhosts file (debian puts this
file in /etc/samba/)

so then my question is.. what the heck is the lmhosts file supposed to
have in it?
Moreover how can I derive the answer from a windows machine?
