There are no doubt some improvements in Red Hat 6.0 that you would enjoy,
but, as others have noted, there will be some initial challenges, too.
Most of these will probably have to do with library issues, which you can
expect will get solved in a fairly short time.  Unless they involve the
Mathworks, but I digress...

Ah, but one crucial point: you *MUST* install all the security fixes
available from Redhat, which you can find by checking out:

    http://www.redhat.com/support/docs/errata.html

Putting an unpatched Red Hat 5.2 box on the Internet is basically saying
"Attack me, please."

What I'm personally going to do is upgrade my current Linux box when my
second machine comes in, and take that opportunity to toss more RAM and
disk into it.  My uptime is pretty wimpy right now:

#[EMAIL:PROTECTED king]$ uptime 
#  9:10am  up 48 days, 14:31,  4 users,  load average: 0.01, 0.07, 0.02

In my defense, babar has only been on the scene since mid-January, and it
has only been taken down once since the first week in February.
