If you are trying to connect with Pine via ppp forget it. To do that you have to configure so much stuff it will boggle your brain. Pine will not get your mail off a pop server, it has to be imported first. To do that you have to use fetchmail or something else, and then of course you have to get connected in the first place and Pine won't do that either, you'll have to use minicom or something similar that will connect and then quit while leaving the connection intact. With 5.2 my suggestion would be to startx and then connect with the network configurator and then run Netscape......captkirk
