Hi,
I'm now experiencing a lot of fun due to a program I installed,
and which ran amuck.
It seems the script malfunctioned. It had spawned about 60
copies of itself and somehow ran the server out of file handles.
Now, whenever I try to open any inboxes in Pine, etc. it's
saying "Folder is Read-Only", and IMAP can't delete messages (move
them to deleted folder on server), etc. IMAP (accessed via NS Comm.
4.5) gives an error message of : "The current command did not
succeed. The mail server responded: CHECK failed: Checkpoint file
failure: File exists"
Any idea on how to reclaim these handles? (I've tried shutting
the server down, and reupping; no luck) If there's something else
that comes to mind, or the error isn't involving file handles, don't
hesitate to shout :)
Best, John.
