I just got my Cheapbytes Mandrake 5.3 CD in the mail today, and I've got
a couple of questions (particularly if you have upgraded a machine to
Mandrake 5.3).
Right now, my machine has RedHat 5.1 on it with KDE. The Mandrake CD's
readme1st file says that I can try the 2.2.1 kernel if I want to... so,
does that mean it won't install it automatically?
Second question: KDE's install instructions say to uninstall 1.0 before
installing 1.1, which is what Mandrake has on it. So, should I
uninstall KDE before I run the Mandrake install program?
