There's plenty of corruption and crass manipulation coming from all
quarters among the big-money elite and political power mongers. The
problems we are having with oil today could have been averted long ago.
Carter started to try to do something about it, but big money generated a
massive impression-distortion campaign designed to weaken him and move him
out of the way. Some people just can't find enough bad words for Carter,
but history will judge him very kindly because he was on the right side of
every battle he got into.
