The best example would be the ludicrous gas tax holiday bill. She
supports it, and when confronted with the fact that *all* economists
think it is silly for Econ 101 reasons said:
"I'm not going to put my lot in with economists"
I saw that. That was absurd and it made her look ridiculous.
and also:
"I think we've been for the last seven years seeing a tremendous amount
of government power and elite opinion behind policies that haven't
worked well for hard working Americans,"
Was that about oil, or was it a more general statement? The thing is, for
most economic policies you can find an economist who will support it and
another one who will oppose it. For ever economist there exists an equal
and opposite economist.
