I'm sure you are glad, but what's with these odd-ball preacher's
he's been associating himself with? That's definitely a minus
for me.
As for some of what is said here, you need to take the plank
out of Obama's eye first. Heh, heh.
Obam's Rev. Wright is a big minus for Obama.
While I won't vote for Obama, I don't hold it against him that his
friends, or even spiritual fathers, are wackos. I myself have
people, even some who have greatly influenced me in a strong
positive manner, who are also total wackos in some aspects.
Ditto on not holding it against him, or for that matter, others
associated with other candidates.
Frankly, "guilt by association" is something very easy to get caught up
in if people aren't careful.
And more then that, Obama has repeatedly and clearly repudiated the
views that make Wright a wacko. But that doesn't mean that Obama has to
disrespect him.
Mel Gibson had a similar issue because his father was prominently
anti-semitic. When Mel was asked about it in an interview, he replied
"please, he's my father."
On McCain: Didn't know about his recent environmental record! Sounds
like another flip-flop.
Maybe he'll be Swift-boated like Kerry was :)
Kerry wasn't Swift-boated because he was a flip-flopper.
