I'm not saying that we need to make allowances for anything. I'm just
saying that you should expect to find that powerful men who have ready
access to many willing women will often have sex with some of those women.
Some of the things you've written imply that I believe that we are more
evolutionarily advanced than the people of 2,000 years ago and we
therefore should have different social norms. First, I don't think that
we have evolved much in 2,000 years. Second, I don't think we have become
more advanced because of evolution over the past 2,000 years. Third, I
don't know how being "more advanced" would imply that we should have
different social/sexual norms.
