For the Dems I'm kinda hoping for a Clinton-Obama ticket. I voted for
Obama anyway. I think that if Obama is VP for 4-8 years, he'll win when
he runs for President. If he wins the nomination now, I think Hillary
would be a good running mate but she might be too old to run in 8 years.
We don't have a primary here in Minnesota -- it's a caucus. So that means
that everyone has to go after work, like between 6:30 pm and 10:00 pm to
cast their ballot. I'm hearing on the news that some polling places are
inaccessible because there is so much traffic nearby. One woman said she
couldn't get within 2 miles of her polling place! To me this means that
Obama will probably win Minnesota. He's the kind of guy who draws people
into the process.
Yes, I see the results, Stephen, and states are going different ways. I
think Obama is doing a little better than Clinton and McCain is doing
better than Romney but we shall see. Sometimes winning a state doesn't do
you much good when the state splits delegates between candidates -- in
Nevada, Clinton "won" the state, but Obama got the majority of the state's
delegates! (it's the same idea as winning the popular vote but losing the
electoral vote).
