I use pricewatch.com for this sort of thing. Remember pricewatch?
Good point. But see below.
Froogle has two separate reviews: the green stars are for the seller,
the yellow for the product.
I went back to it and figured that out. Then I sorted "by seller rating"
and scrolled down until I found a seller who had been rated more than
1,000 times, then I chose the best price from the best sellers.
So Pricewatch only gives me two Viewsonic VX2035WM sellers. After
shipping the prices are $214 and $297 and the seller ratings were 70%
positive for 50 reviews and 76% positive for 41 reviews, respectively.
But from Froogle I found one selling it for $288 with 4.8 of 5 stars with
1,073 reviews tallied. It turns out that the $214 price is bogus -- the
seller says they are out of stock. So I go with the $288 from YesMicro
via Froogle. I'm spending grant money, not my own cash, and I think this
will work out. If it were my own money, it would probably go the same
way.
