The big problem I have with McCain is his stance on the Iraq situation.  The only single thing I agree with is -if- the conditions support war, it should be I feel with overwhelming force.  So, if the current Iraq conflict was justified (I never have thought it was and completely agree with Obama's position on this), McCain would have been right that Rumsfeld was very wrong to have to light a force there.

Everything else ranges from I like his ideas to an extent to I have some level of dislike for.

I like Ron Paul's position where the U.S. should not be the world's cop.  Bush 43 said some time ago we would not engage in nation building, and that's exactly what we are doing right now.

In the end though, I feel McCain would be measurably better than W.  He seems to truly care about climate change and the quality of the environment.

She also said some very nasty things about Thompson as well. She really is like Limbaugh, and that is a shock entertainer that does not represent the majority of the conservative movement.

Stephen: you probably should not take very much political advice from
me, but you really must trust me on one thing: Ann Coulter's opinions
really aren't worth paying attention to. She earns money from
self-promotion that feeds into book sales. She literally will say
almost anything outrageous to get attention. Pretty famously, she once
suggested that Bill Clinton was gay. Bill Clinton may be many things,
but he surely isn't a homosexual. This was just another case of Ann
Coulter just making stuff up to sound provocative.
