True.  So what's wrong with an indictment?  It ought to be on the
Bush/Cheney record - a well-deserved permanent stain.
 
You would have to ask Pelosi, like I said before she has everything to gain, or lose by impeaching Bush and Cheney. I don't think the majority of the American people believe that there is grounds for impeachment, and that is what is staying Pelosi's hand. But certainly, if McGovern thinks he has the evidence to withstand impeachment proceedings, then he is welcome to his opinion on that. I would expect that Pelosi is a little more aware of her political surroundings and she is not willing to stick her neck out for a few kooks who THINK there is evidence that amounts to impeachment.

Additionally, I also think she might be considering precedent as well. I think her handlers in the democratic party are rightly concerned that anything they do now to limit the president will cause the future democratic president the same problems.
