That isn't how it works. We aren't fair, nor should we be fair. We simply represent our interests. When an unfriendly country develops a bomb, we tell them to stop doing that not because it is unfair to develop a bomb, but because it threatens us. We are fair only in the sense that we do not enslave other nations (even when we've conquered them) and we encourage individual freedoms and democracy around the globe. That ought to be good enough!
