Of course it has nothing to do with bad decisions made by the people that are now lossing their money, the general stupidity of unbridled capitalism, short sightedness, greed, and immorality being rampant, etc.

Of course a lot of it is the government's fault, Republican and Democrat alike, but we can't excuse people for making stupid decisions for themselves either.

I can't believe how fast the housing market was climbing. I'm glad it's starting to dive. Maybe it'll get back to a realistic level so normal people can afford to live. There is no way that the average home should be over $300k where I live when the median family income is only around $30k. I blame California. Lots of people from California move to Las Vegas because to them it seems cheap - paying much more for homes than they're worth. Then as Vegas got crowded and expensive they poured over into southern Utah doing the same thing again. Then you get everyone speculating that housing will keep going up which just causes prices to keep climbing without any real reason. Stupid.
