I like the searchability and copyability of ebooks, but I like paper for
reading and browsing.  When I want to quote something, copy a reference,
copy a figure into a powerpoint slide, the ebook is usually a lot better
for that.  If I want to sit on the couch and read, I want a paper book.

What if you want to read during a trip or at the beach or whatever? What if there is a new book out that you want to read and it's sold out before you get a copy? What if you want to read something that is no longer in print?

Of course, IMO, the perfect mate for the eBook is the concept of on-demand book printing. Take your eBook close to a printing kiosk, find it with the kiosk's bluetooth, and print your eBook into a real book. That'd be handy.
