I'd buy one if it got down to $200 and if they'd give me the money spent on electronic copies of books as a discount off paper copies of the same books. I could see grabbing the electronic copy to see if I liked the book and if I did then buy the paper copy.
I like the bookness of books. I love a nice hardback book with good paper pages. I especially like if the cover is leather and the pages are the old fashioned uneven style. Even if I replaced my paperbacks with electronic books I'd still want to buy hard backs of my favorites.
I wonder if they'll sell any choose your own adventure books. I'd be curious to how they'd implement that. I loved those when I was a kid.
I'm quite pissed that my parents evidently destroyed dozens of my hardback books that I had stored with them. Hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars of books that I'll want to replace and some of them were quite old and are not in print anymore. I'd like to at least be able to get the electronic versions of the stuff that isn't in print now. Many of these I can only find reference to by remembering the name or author and picking through a Library of Congress search. Maybe if a book is out of print for ten years the LoC should automatically put it into the public domain and make it available as a free eBook. Heck, I'd pay them a $1 a copy even to cover their costs.
