This could get pretty interesting.
I'd say! This is a huge development. I see that "Android is built on the
open Linux Kernel." We also have OpenMoko, also a mobile Linux coming up.
I can see that T-Mobile is in on Android. Good for them. They've been
doing the coolest stuff lately. Maybe that's because they are more
international than some (they are headquartered in Germany).
The one thing I don't like is that Google is giving prizes for any sort of
application. There is no requirement that the app be distributed under a
free software license. So, for example, couldn't Microsoft or Sun win the
contest?
