Do you get a resolution error or you get an incorrect IP?

Name resolution priority is my only idea. The registry entry for it is

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Tcpip/ServiceProvider

In that key, the lower the hex value of the data, the higher priority
that resolution method is. But it shouldn't create a resolution error,
it should just cause an incorrect IP if one of the higher priority
methods is successful.
