So gmail seems to be getting a bit more clever about the ads it shows
me. Here's what came up when I was responding to the other thread:

This looks like an awesome deal until you spec it up to real
usefulness, at which point you find out it's more like an
under-powered Mac mini without a decent operating system. But that's
this year. Two years from now, $300 computers sort of like this one
are likely to outsell conventional desktops as long as you can plug
them into the HDTV you're going to have. And then the computer will
completely disappear when it becomes part of the TV a year or two
later. And the odds are maybe only 50/50 that Microsoft will be
involved.

Or, at least that's my prediction.
