The US is continually involved in many ways with every country on
Earth. I wouldn't necessarily say that we should send troops to Congo,
but it would be nice if we had a way to push them in the right
direction. Maybe we could find a way to prevent so many guns and so
much ammo from getting to the criminal gangs that are destroying that
country. Just an idea.
Like declaring war and going to fight the bad guys? That's to evil. We
should issue some declarations that we're going to be really really
angry if they don't behave. We might not keep them on our Christmas card
list. Maybe we'll send the poor injured people a Bible and a get well
card. Actually doing something to stop bad things from happening would
just be a horrible thing to do. After all look at how horrible it is
that we're in Iraq.
Regarding your recommendation that we exterminate the African people
-- you really shouldn't be writing things like that, even if you
believe them. Do you really want to be branded as an advocate for
genocide? Sounds like a bad idea to me. In case it isn't obvious: I
disagree with your ideas about the African people, but your ideas are
so vile that it should be obvious where I stand (along with almost
anyone else who reads your message).
I'm merely practical. We can't afford to fix the problem, the voters
won't agree to fix the problem, and it's only going to get worse if left
to fester. The fastest way to stop the suffering is to kill off the
whole group and start over. Giving a little assistance here and there
only drags on the problem, drags more people into the problem, and
causes much more human suffering. Evidently you'd rather make ever
growing groups of people suffer because you don't have what it takes to
either go fight the bad guys or to just make the problem go away. You'd
rather pretend it'll go away if we make some token gestures.
Sometimes vile solutions are the best solutions. One way or another it's
going to take violence and killing people to fix the problem. It may be
sad and vile and not the way we really want things to be but that's the
nature of life. If it were left up to me I'd crank the US into gear and
produce everything we need to have in order to really be a super power.
I'd get the US into good shape and then I'd send troops out to conquer
the world and kill the bad guys. It'd be expensive. People would die.
The bad guys and the political whiners would say we were abusing our
power. Things would get better and it'd happen a lot more quickly than
could be done by any gentle warm and fuzzy method.
