Isn't it easier during war times to find deserving nominees? No one will
admit it, but I think one reason they picked Gore is because they hate
Bush so much. On the other hand, it is the right time to give it to Gore
and the UN group if they're ever going to give it to global-warming
environmentalist activists.
This is not so far from the truth, at least one committee member said as much when they gave Carter his award.
It seems very much like a noble idea has been politicized, would these types of actions not lesson the value of the award if it continues?
