You have to?  What are you talking about?  I don't even know what it means
for this to "extend to all other countries."

The United States in recent years, (post World War 2) has turned into the World's Police force. Sure we were not attacked by Kosovo, Somalia, Panama, but in every one of those instances, another larger aggressor used might on a smaller country and the US was called on to help bring piece to the region.

So Cindy Sheehan is trying to say that these conflicts would never have taken place had we not sent in our troops. Sure, American would not have been involved had we not sent in troops, but what would have been the end result had we not? Consider WW2 for instance. Could we have saved millions of lives in Europe had we entered that conflict earlier? What would have happened had we not intervened?

So the idiocy comes from people saying that the US will be involved in less wars if we would not send out troops to war. Ultimately, that is a correct statement, but it is patently idiotic because it is not possible to do in reality.

The US was attacked by Vietnam?  We were attacked by Kosovo?  Somalia?
Grenada?  Panama?  Iraq in 1990?  What does it mean to "start" a war?

THe US did not start these conflicts, we were brought in AFTER the conflicts started by those on the ground in that region. Our involvement did not start the hostilities. One can argue that our invasion of Iraq started the conflict in that region and I would not argue that, but every other example you presented was not the US attacking anyone. It was a result of some agression by someone else.
