My point was that you have more money than most people but deride those
that have more money than most people. That's very unusual as most
people don't like to single their group out as doing something that's
not good. Sure, it's certainly not self-centered, but most people who
have worked hard for something really don't want to let it go very
easily, especially on terms somebody else would dictate.
And getting back to the original topic, I think that everybody being
required to do some service for the government- building roads, serving
in the military, tutoring kids that are at risk of dropping out of
school, etc. wouldn't be a bad idea. I think that it would certainly
help to instill a work ethic that is pretty sorely lacking in this
country today.
