You can say what you want to about Bush and his policies, but there is
one thing that is clear. Bush's policies on the war on terror have kept
this country safe. The actions recently in England drive home the fact
that there are still those out there that want to kill those of us in
the west. The fact that the biggest prize of all, the United States, has
not been attacked again since September 11th speaks volumes about the
administrations attempts to keep America safe.
It has now been almost 6 years since 9/11/2001. How many terrorist
attacks did our country suffer in the 6 years *before* 9/11/2001? How
many afterward? To me it doesn't seem like a big difference.
It is pretty easy to argue it either way. One might say that U.S. policy
has served to inspire terrorist groups all over the world and to help in
their recruitment campaigns. The recent attack in Britain and earlier
attacks in Britain and Spain might all have been prevented if we'd taken
different strategies in dealing with international terrorism. How do you
know?
So where is the *evidence* that Bush's approach has been working?
