So what are your views on this?
I thought it was inevitable because I have always believed that Cheney was
behind the whole debacle and he would have promised a pardon to Libby in
exchange for Libby keeping his mouth shut. So Bush lets Libby off the
hook for being a good criminal conspirator and other workers in the
Executive Branch know that they can violate the law for their bosses with
impunity.
Maybe someday Bush will regret this just as Clinton regrets pardoning Marc
Rich.
