The most interesting part of the article is that the movie that was
uploaded was not filmed with a camcorder in a movie theater or extracted
from a rental or retail DVD but was AN INSIDE JOB. And yet the studios
try to push such stupid and horrible legislation and DRM schemes when
the answer to stopping much of the unauthorized releases is something
that must be combatted internally within their own ranks.

The studios likely very well know where the stuff is coming from and
would rather try to hoodwink the legislators into letting them get more
and more control that's currently illegal under the Software Copyright
Act of 1976 than actually fight the problem. It's a very shrewd maneuver
on their part, but it also speaks volumes at how oblivious and idiotic
the legislators and some in the general public and media are in
believing it.
